Mr. Alayon is a Senior Partner and Shareholder of the Firm. He has over thirty-one years of experience in legal matters, ranging from trial work to transactional matters involving international investing and complex arbitration and confidential representation of high net worth individuals or multinational entities seeking special attention and having unique financial or legal needs.

 

Mr. Alayon holds one of the highest professional ratings available for attorneys in his areas of practice (AV Preeminent by the Martindale Hubbell attorney rating agency). Mr. Alayon was recently selected as one of South Florida’s Top Rated Lawyers of 2013 and featured in Legal Leaders TM magazine. He speaks several languages fluently and is conversant in others. He holds some of the highest educational degrees in the legal profession (a Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law (Magna Cum Laude) and a Master of Laws in Taxation from New York University) and holds a Masters’ degree in Business Administration, Accounting and Finance (Highest Honors), and a Bachelors’ degree in Business in Accounting (Cum Laude). He is also a Certified Public Accountant and a Title Agent in the State of Florida.

 

Mr. Alayon is licensed to practice law before the United States Supreme Court, the Federal Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States District Courts for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida, the United States Tax Court, and the State Courts of the States of New York and Florida. Mr. Alayon has represented many important foreign nationals in establishing their businesses or investing in the United States. In addition, Mr. Alayon has advised, litigated, and taken to judgment or successful mediation or arbitration many business disputes, including, without limitation, those concerning intellectual property rights.

 

Mr. Alayon has also successfully litigated or mediated large property and other insurance claims, including bad faith claims, to the satisfaction of his clients. He has particularized knowledge of insurance coverage and litigation matters and has assisted many property owners (principally commercial, i.e., shopping centers, office buildings, and condominium and homeowner’s associations) in dealing with insurance claims from inception to finish.
